Surprise Day Off!

I totally forgot the kids might have a field trip (weather permitting), so I was surprised yesterday when I learned I didn't have to go in to work today!

Even though I initially planned to spend the day working on a logo for Gracie, we decided the day would be better spent dressing up and fooling around :D

Check out Gracie interacting with the Public Art!

After showing up to the wrong MRT station 20 minutes early, walking over to the right one (via the nifty underground mall connecting Zhongxiao Dunhua and Fuxing :D) and finding the right SOGO (there are TWO of them...KITTY-CORNER FROM EACH OTHER...both of which are accessible from the MRT underground @_@) we had some dress-up time!

Knight's Bridge dress up! They make the CUTEST matching sets!
These are actually shorts. Pleated shorts.

Liz Lisa dress-up! This salopette is adorable!!!
This is art and we make silly poses on purpose. Yep.

After all the dressing up we had some delicious lunch (home-made onigiri and tinned wheat gluten/roasted eel from the basement supermarket -- they're in all the SOGO's), walked back to Zhongxiao Dunhua to look for CHAOS, that punk shop we went to the other day, so that we could check out their replica RHS. They weren't open, so we walked around that entire shopping area (which is pretty big!) then walked back to Zhongxiao Fuxing so that Gracie could get a refund on her umbrella, which was not fixed by the shoppe that said they fixed it, and then walked around the OTHER SOGO, which was having a crazy sample-fest, so we ate all the samples ever and they were delicious (and sometimes not-so-delicious...I'm looking at you, honey vinegar D:<)

Then I came home and discovered moldy seaweed, and Gracie went to school, where she found out her class was cancelled.
