Most of December, in a Nutshell

These past three weeks have been SUPER busy putting in loads of overtime -- I was put in charge of one of our VIP students for a week and a half. I'll be getting two weeks off at the beginning of February though, so that'll be nice :)

Finally had a 'normal' week this past week, but things are picking up again 'cause now I'm in charge of making the food for the company Christmas party -- more overtime yaaayyyy!!!

Anywho, here's what we've been up to in the interim~

Visiting Family, Food, and Banciao Night Market

Last Sunday (the 4th) we went straight over to my mom's after the hotel gig. She made a SUPER GOURMET 5-COURSE LUNCH (8 or 9 courses if you count the rice and 3 kinds of fried seafood).

This is my favourite dish -- mushrooms with egg and basil.

Apparently it can also be made with salted egg for EVEN MORE DELICIOUSNESS

The Past Few Weeks in Pictures

The lily that had a aphids is blooming again!

Weekend English Village with J.U.S.T. Department of Hotel Management

A week or two ago my mom called me and said that her friend who is friends with the administrator of a hotel management program at a college was looking for some English-speakers to participate in a weekend language immersion event. It sounded pretty fun, and it was compensated, so we said yes.

After a CRAZY 60+ hour workweek, this hotel gig was like a mini-vacation.

I got to take a bath. A BATH.
It was SO good, even though I was slightly scared of drowning the whole time 'cause this bathtub is GINORMOUS.
